Speaker Installation

The speakers are intended to be floor mounted only. The speakers are shipped fitted with ball-end feet for safety
during unpacking. Spike feet are supplied in the accessory box. It is important to ensure that the speakers stand
firmly on the floor using the spike feet whenever possible. The spike feet are designed to pierce carpet and rest on
the underlying floor surface. Ball-end feet should be used where there is no carpet and the floor surface might be
damaged by spike feet.
Whichever type of feet you use, the same procedure should be followed to ensure stable mounting. Initially, screw the
lock nuts down so that they touch the foot end, as in the diagram above. Then screw the feet fully into the threaded
inserts in the plinth. If the cabinet rocks when placed on the floor, unscrew the two feet that do not touch the floor
until the cabinet rests firmly without rocking. Make sure that the speaker is upright and level. Finally, lock all four nuts
against the plinth.
To avoid damage when spikes are fitted, do not drag the speaker and take care to place it where it cannot cause
damage or pierce mains cables etc. Used properly, spike feet will not damage carpets. For very soft wooden floors
it may be advisable to use spike shoes or coins between the spikes/ball and the floor.
