How does VectorX connect to my computer if the VSeries software
modules have been purchased?
VectorX connects to your computer via Ethernet cable. For capturing swing video
a FireWire IEEE 1394 port is also required on your computer.
How does VectorX work?
VectorX is triggered by the sound of the club hitting the golf ball. The camera
takes two pictures of the golf ball within milliseconds of each other and advanced
image analysis software determines the size, rotation, vertical path and distance
between the two images. The software utilizes this information to accurately
measure ball speed, launch angle, back spin, side spin and push/pull, and to
calculate club head speed and angle of descent.
Can I use irons with VectorX?
Yes. In addition to drivers, irons can be used with the VectorX with minimal
adjustment. Keep in mind that the VectorX needs to be positioned at the same
level as the hitting surface to ensure the ball is not hit under the camera lens.
We recommend changing the hitting position to the iron location on the setup
template.
