Repair instructions
3. Remove the belt cover for ease of access.
4. Remove the belt.

4.7 To test the engine brake

Test the engine break:
• If the engine has been changed
• If the engine break cable has been changed.
Make sure the lever arm of the engine break goes all the
way back when the engine break handle is pushed
down.
Make sure that the blade stops within 3 seconds after
releasing the engine brake.

4.7.1 Electric start (LC 347VI, LC 353VI)

If the product is equipped with an electrical start switch,
examine the bail arm and make sure that the engine
can't start unless the start inhibitor is pulled to the side.

4.8 To replace the wires

4.8.1 To change the the engine break wire

1. Remove the screw (E) and remove the speed control
unit (D).
2. Remove the engine break wire from the engine.

4.8.2 To change the Throttle wire

1. Remove the screw (E)and remove the speed control
unit (D).
2. Remove the inspection cover for ease of access.
