8 Care and maintenance

8.1 Care

If necessary, clean the plastic housing and cuff with a slightly moistened cotton cloth.
Important note:
The cuff of the "Heart Beat" must not be washed or dry cleaned.
Batteries should not be discarded with domestic waste!
Please dispose of batteries only in the disposal bins provided in shops.

8.2 Changing the cuff

If you need a new cuff for your "Heart Beat", this can be obtained from HDP GmbH
as an accessory. For technical reasons, the cuff should only be changed by HDP
GmbH. Please consult your dealer if necessary.

8.3 Calibration check

The equipment is calibrated by the manufacturer for a two-year period. The
calibration check must therefore be performed at least every two years.
This service is offered at an additional charge by HDP GmbH, a competent
authority or by authorised maintenance services – in accordance with the
legislation governing the operation of medical measuring equipment.
