4 Using the "Heart Beat"

4.3 Measuring the pulse rate and blood pressure

Press the START/STOP key once. A short display test will appear:
Measurement then begins. The "Heart Beat" gradually inflates and deflates. The
measurement takes approx. 30 seconds to complete. The result is displayed:
Pulse rate
Measurement number
Systolic
Diastolic
value
value
After the measurement has been completed, the display automatically returns to
the time and date.
The measurement process can be interrupted at any time by pressing the
START/STOP key.

4.4 Saving the reading

The reading is automatically saved to memory. Do not touch any key while the
measurement number is flashing (approx. 10 seconds). Up to 50 measurements
can be saved. After this, each subsequent reading replaces the "oldest" in the
memory.

4.5 Preventing the reading from being saved

The measurement number (21 in the diagram) is flashing. Saving of the reading
can be prevented by pressing the START/STOP key within 10 seconds.
Important
We recommend that blood pressure readings should always be taken while sitting
down, after a rest of approx. 3-5 minutes.
