Converting Ethernet Ports to Fibre Channel
This section explains how to convert Ethernet ports to fibre channel ports.
Before You Begin
This task requires installing and enabling the port license. For more information, see
Channel Port License, on page
Procedure
Step 1
Perform TCAM carving.
Example:
Step 2
Confirm that feature-set fcoe-npv is installed and enabled.
Example:
Switch(config)# install feature-set fcoe-npv
Switch(config)# feature-set fcoe-npv
Step 3
Convert the port(s) to FC.
Example:
After the conversion, save the configuration and reload the switch.
