5.0 Downloading Stored Tag Information
The Biomark 601 Handheld is an RS-232 serial device and no
specific drivers or programs necessary to access the memory from
a PC.
To successfully access stored data for any program, first attach the
AC Power/Communication cable and ensure that the RS-232
settings match the following: 9600 baud rate, 8 data bits, no parity,
and flow control none.
Note: It is important to note that the latest PC's rarely come
equipped with a 9-pin serial ports. If your computer does not have
a 9-pin serial port, a USB to serial adapter has been included with
the Reader. It is important to install the drivers for this adapter
before use.
If you are using the Biomark Tag Manager program to access your
memory, please refer to the Biomark Tag Manager User manual for
instructions on how to create a successful connection.
