3. Route the adapter's cord through
the strain relief slot on top of the
base.
4. Plug the adapter into a standard
AC outlet. The POWER indicator
on the base lights.
5. Plug the modular cord's other end
into a modular phone line jack.
6. Fully extend the base's antenna
and place it in a vertical position.

1. Plug one end of a short modular
cord (such as Cat. No. 279-390,
not supplied) into the
