Troubleshooting
Use the following table to troubleshoot common problems with the garage door opener. If the following does not
resolve the problem, contact technial support or a professional garage door opener repairman.
Symptom
The garage door opener starts to
operate but then stops
immedately.
The garage door opener w ill not
operate at all and the light will not
turn on.
The garage door opener w ill not
operate at all but the light will turn
on.
The garage door opener does not
open fully or close fully.

Possible Cause
T he garage door is locked.
T he range of motion setting is
incorrect
T he force setting is incorrect.
T he safety reverse setting is
incorrect
T he springs may be old and weak
requiring more force to open the
door than the opener can provide.
T he opener is not plugged in.
T he plug the opener is plugged into
has no power.
T he safety sensors are not aligned. Align the sensors per the directions
T he wires from the safety sensors
are broken or not connected.
An object is blocking the safety
sensors.
Something is blocking the garage
door.
T he range of motion setting is
incorrect
T he force setting is incorrect.
T he safety reverse setting is
incorrect
Solution
Unlock the door and try again.
Adjust the setting per the instructions
on page 29.
Adjust the force setting per the
instructions on page 31.
Adjust the setting per the instructions
on page 32.
Replace the old and weak springs.
Plug the opener into 110v power
outlet.
Check the circuit breaker.

Verify the wires are correctly
attached to the opener per the

Check that nothing is blocking the
line-of-site between the two safety
sensors. If so, remove it.
Remove the obstruction.
