This manual describes how to install, program and maintain the TR5164.
Before installing the TR5164 module, complete the following steps:
1. Plan the placement and wiring of the security system (see the system Installation Manual).
2. Install the control panel, then install and enroll at least one keypad to use for programming.
3. Install and enroll any hardwired zone expander modules (PC5108).
Once the above steps are complete, program the TR5164 from a system keypad or using downloading
software on a remote computer. Read the system Installation Manual for more information.

1.1 TR5164 Installation Procedure

To install and set up the TR5164 and wireless devices:
1. Temporarily mount and wire the TR5164 module (Section 2.2, page 5).
2. Enroll wireless devices (Section 3.2, page 6).
3. Complete zone and other programming on the system (Section 4.1, page 8).
4. Test the placement of all the wireless devices (Section 5.1, page 11).
5. Permanently mount the TR5164 receiver and wireless devices (Section 5.2, page 12).

Conditions" on page 13.
For help with troubleshooting, see Section 7: "Troubleshooting" on page 14.

• Zones - receiver can receive signals from up to 64 wireless zones and 16 wireless keys
• Supervisory - programmable supervisory window
• Location
- can be wired up to 750 ft. / 230 m from the main panel with 22 gauge wire
- connects to Keybus
- for longer wire runs, thicker gauge wire must be used.
• Compatibility: The TR5164 can be connected to the following panels: PC1616, PC1832, PC1864
version 4.6 and above.
• Operating temperature: -10 to +55°C (14-131°F)
Note: UL/ULC tessted for 0°C to +49°C (32-122°F), 85% R.H.
• Separate built-in wall and case tamper
