INSPECTION DETAILS - B. LOCKS AND LIGHTS
TURN SIGNAL, HEADLIGHT, HIGH
BEAM, AUTOMATIC HIGH BEAM* AND
EMERGENCY FLASHER INDICATOR
LIGHTS
a) Check that the turn signal indicator lights on the
instrument panel illuminate when the turn signal lever is
moved up or down.

Right turn
2 Move the lever partway and release to signal a lane
change (Right)

Move the lever partway and release to signal a lane
change (Left)

Left turn
b) Check that the headlight or tail light indicator illuminates
when the headlight switch is on.

The side marker, parking, tail, license plate and
instrument panel lights turn on

The headlights and all lights listed above turn on.
3 The headlights, daytime running lights, and all lights
listed above turn on and off automatically (when the
engine switch is in ON mode.)

Turn off the daytime running light system
NOTE:
• Headlights and tail lights automatically turn off 30
seconds after a door is opened and closed if
the engine switch is turned OFF.
• When only the tail lights are on, the lights
automatically turn off with the driver's door opened
and the engine switch turned OFF.
c) Check operation of the automatic light control function.
d) Check that the high beam indicator light illuminates
when the high beams are on.

With the headlights on, push the lever forward to
turn on the high beams. Pull back to center to turn
off.

Pull the lever toward you and release it to flash the
high beams once.
