MAINTENANCE
Daily Inspection (Every 10 Hours)
Checking the Fuel Level
WARNING
� Do
not
smoke
flames while fueling or near fueling
operations.
� Stop the engine in a well-ventilated
place when adding fuel.
� Clean up spilled fuel immediately.
� Do not fill the fuel tank to capacity.
Allow room for expansion.
� Tighten the fuel tank cap securely.
1. Open the mud guard.
2. Check the fuel level using the sight gauge
(1).
3. If the level is low, add fuel from the fuel
supply port (2) while watching the sight
gauge (1).

Inspecting the Hydraulic Oil Level

and Replenishing
Oil may spurt out if caps or filters are
removed or pipes disconnected before
releasing the pressure in the hydraulic
system.
� Gradually loosen the vent plug to
relieve tank pressure.
Inspection
The oil level changes according to the oil
temperature.
Inspect the oil level in the
hydraulic oil level inspection posture shown
in the diagram.

1. Start the engine and run it at low speed.
2. Fully retract the arm and bucket cylinders
and ground the bucket.
3. Ground the dozer blade, then stop the
engine.
4. Inspect the oil level using the sight gauge
(1).
• When the oil temperature is about
20°C (68°F):
The level should be halfway between
the upper limit (H) and lower limit (L).
If it is below the lower limit (L),
replenish.
• When the oil temperature is about 50
to 80°C (122 to 176°F):
The level should be near the upper
limit (H).
