Phone overview

Phone overview
Your phone is equipped with a touch-sensi-
tive surface. The sensor keys react to the
pressure of your fingers. Please avoid using
your finger nails to activate the keys, since
this may damage the phone. When the keys
are active their outlines are lit. You can
set a special key tone for the sensor keys
(page 115). If the key lock is active, the
sensor keys are not visible.
If no key has been used for a while, the dis-
play illumination is switched off and the
display is not visible.

If the phone is switched off, open the slider
to switch it on.
If not stated otherwise explicitly you can
use all keys with the functions described
regardless of the slider position.

A
Dial the number/name displayed/high-
lighted, take calls. Open the call records
in standby mode.

Off/End key

• In standby mode:
Press and hold to switch off.
Press briefly to open the switch off
menu (page 21).
• During a conversation or in an
application: Press briefly to finish.
• In menus: Press and hold to go back
to standby mode.
Key lock if the slider is closed
Press briefly to activate the key lock.
To release the key lock: Press the navi
key to activate the display and the sen-
sor keys. A prompt is displayed. Press
the Off/End key
