Basic Operation

Turning on the Power

Press the [A] button.
Press the [A] button to enter the power standby
mode.
When you press any of the following buttons, the unit
turns on.
Remote control h"iPod", "CD", "USB/iPad", "AUDIO

IN/AUX", "TUNER", "NETWORK"
h[I/W]N button on the main unit: The unit turns on
0
and playback of the last function will start. (TUNER,
iPod, AUDIO IN, AUX, NETWORK)

Setting the Network Standby

The first time the unit is plugged in, the unit will enter
0
NETWORK STANDBY.
Auto power on function is activated when the main
0
unit is set to Network Standby. (p. 11)
To cancel Network Standby, press the [DIMMER/
0
NETWORK STANDBY] button (remote control)
during power standby mode. The unit will enter the
low power consumption mode.
To return to Network Standby, press the [DIMMER/
0
NETWORK STANDBY] button (remote control)
again.
When iPod or iPhone is connected to the iPod/
0
iPhone dock, battery charge starts and "Charge
Mode" is displayed. NETWORK STANDBY is
invalid during charge mode.

Volume up/down

Turn the volume knob (on main unit) or press
[VOLUME+/-] (on remote control) to increase
or decrease the volume.
Volume auto fade-in
If you turn off and on the main unit with the volume set
to 27 or higher, the volume starts at 16. The volume
fades in to the last set level.
To mute the volume temporarily

Press the [MUTING] button.
"MUTING" is flashed and the sound is muted
temporarily.
Press again to restore the volume.

Bass (HBS) adjustment

Press the [HBS] button.
Current HBS setup is displayed.
When the power is turned on for the first time,

Bass mode is set to ON.
Press the [HBS] button to switch the Bass
0
mode to ON or OFF.
"HBS ON"/"HBS OFF" will be displayed.

Bass/Treble adjustment

Press the [BASS/TREBLE] button to select
"Bass" (bass) or "Treble" (treble).

Within 5 seconds, press the [VOLUME+/-]
button to adjust the bass/treble.
HBS is set to OFF.
