To reduce noise during AM recording
If a whistling noise is heard while
recording, replace the AM loop antenna for
optimum reception.

Dubbing Another Tape
Automatically
You can record the whole tape onto another
automatically by using high speed dubbing.
While dubbing at high speed, you can listen
to the radio or a CD by pressing TUNER or
CD.
Use the buttons on the unit and TYPE I
(normal) or TYPE II (CrO2) tape for
dubbing.
POWER—ON
1 Press # and insert a recorded tape in
deck A and a blank tape into deck B.
2 Choose how you want the tape to be
recorded and set the DIRECTION mode
selector.

Dubbing stops at the end of one
side.

When the tape in one deck
comes to the end of the front
side, it reverses immediately
regardless of the tape position
in the other deck.
RELAY
reaches its end of the front side,
it stops until the other tape
comes to its end, and then both
tapes reverse together.
When the tape in one deck
3 Press HIGH SPEED DUBBING.
Deck B stands by for recording.
If HIGH SPEED DUBBING indicator
flashes and turns off, you are trying to
record on a tape in which tabs have been
removed.

4 Choose the same direction on both
decks by pressing > or <J.
To dub on one side, choose & or <<].
To dub on both sides, choose >.

5 Press 00 PAUSE.
The tape starts dubbing at high speed.
When the tape has started dubbing from
the reverse side in RELAY and >
mode, dubbing will stop at the end of
the reverse side.
To stop dubbing
Press @.
You do not have to set DOLBY NR at high
speed dubbing
The tape in deck B is automatically
recorded in the same state as the tape in
deck A.
Note
You cannot dub a tape manually.
