S e t t i n g T o n e L e n g t h , S t a r t - u p / P o w e r - o f f T o n e o r V o i c e P r o m p t
You can determine the length of your key beep (you hear this when you press any key)
or type of the Start-up/Power off tone (sounds when you turn the phone on/off
on this feature).
1. From the Standby mode, press MENU/OK to display the main menu.
2. Highlight S e t t i n g s , and press MENU/OK.
3. Highlight S o u n d s , and press MENU/OK.
4. Highlight O t h e r s , and press MENU/OK.
5. Select the menu under T o n e L e n g t h , S t a r t - u p T o n e , P o w e r - o f f T o n e or V o i c e P r o m p t
and press MENU/OK.
6. Highlight your desired option, and press MENU/OK.
G e t N e w : start up a Browser and you can select an item to download.

Tip: Start-up Tone and Power -off Tone can be set the volume setting. See page 53 for
instructions.
C h a n g i n g t h e B a c k l i g h t T i m e L e n g t h
The backlight setting lets you select how long the display screen and keypad are backlit
after any key press is made.
To change the backlight setting:
1. From the Standby mode, press MENU/OK to display the main menu.
2. Highlight S e t t i n g s , and press MENU/OK.
3. Highlight D i s p l a y , and press MENU/OK.
4. Highlight B a c k l i g h t , and press MENU/OK.
5. Select the menu under L C D or K e y , and press MENU/OK.
6. Select A l w a y s O n , A l w a y s O f f or your defined time length, and press MENU/OK.
A l w a y s O f f always turns the Backlight off.

A l w a y s O n always turns the Backlight on.

Note: Long backlight settings affect the battery's talk and standby times.
Note: Always On setting set to as LCD returns to previous value on next power cycle.
