Hybrid Vehicles (Gasoline vehicles similar)
POWER SUPPLY CHANGEOVER AND
HYBRID/ENGINE START/STOP
Check for proper activation of the "POWER" switch.
Power supply changeover
a ) Carry the electronic key in the vehicle and apply the
parking brake.
b ) Without depressing the brake pedal, press the
"POWER" switch and change the power supply.
1. OFF
2. Press once: ACCESSORY mode
3. Press twice: "ON" mode
4. Press three times: OFF
c ) In each mode, check that the power supply has changed
properly.
NOTE:
If the "POWER" switch illuminator blinks refer to the Repair
Manual.
Hybrid system start/stop
a ) Carry the electronic key in the vehicle and apply the
parking brake.
b ) Check that the "P" park switch is illuminated.
c ) When depressing the brake pedal, check that the green
"POWER" switch illuminator comes on and push the
"POWER" switch to start the hybrid system.
NOTE:
The "READY" indicator comes on and a beep sounds.
d ) Push the "POWER" switch regardless of brake position
to stop the hybrid system.
NOTE:
If the hybrid system is stopped with the vehicle in a position
other than "P", the power supply mode is switched to the
ACCESSORY mode, not to OFF and the battery will
deplete.
e ) Use the "POWER" switch to set "READY" mode (leave
in "READY" mode until front bumper process).
Engine start/stop
a ) Carry the electronic key in the vehicle and apply the
parking brake.
b ) Check that the shift lever is in the"P" position.
c ) While depressing the brake pedal, press the "ENGINE"
switch.
