Car won’t start, Lexus gs 350 2014 stuck in auto parking brake

1 comments:
Mr. Anderson
May 27, 2025

A 2014 Lexus GS 350 may not start and be stuck in auto parking brake due to one or more of the following reasons:

1. Brake pedal not firmly depressed – The brake pedal must be fully pressed when starting the engine.
2. Shift lever not in “P” position – The engine will not start if the gear is not in Park.
3. Dead or weak electronic key battery – A depleted key battery can prevent engine start.
4. Incorrect starting procedure – Not following the correct steps can stop the engine from starting.
5. Hybrid system not in “READY” mode – The system must be in “READY” mode for operation.
6. Battery depletion from accessory mode – If the vehicle is not turned off properly, the battery may drain.

If the engine still does not start after following the proper procedures, contact a Lexus dealer for assistance.
