Spill correction
Despill color and Despill coarse
4.2.4.1.
This function is used to eliminate reflections of the keyed background colour in the object. It uses
an algorithm based on the RGB space.
Despill color – this is used to determine the colour introduced into the algorithm.
Despill coarse – this is used to determine the value of the algorithm.
1.
Despill color – value 0:
Despill coarse (range 0–1000)
If green is the keyed colour, the green component should be removed from the object on which
the background colour is reflected.
(Similarly, if blue is the keyed colour, then the blue component should be removed.)
2.
Despill color – value 1000
Despill coarse (range 0–1000)
The red component is added to the object on which the background colour is reflected.
If green is the keyed colour, the blue component should be added to the object on which the back-
ground colour is reflected.
(Similarly, if blue is the keyed colour, then the green component should be added.)
