5.1. Be sure that there is a new cloth available. There should be a seal at the backside,
5.2. Peel off the old cloth,
5.3. Peel off about 2cm of the new cloth release paper,
5.4. Align and paste little by little the cloth on the stainless steel plate. You may use a tool, like a ruler or a cylinder
in order to be sure not creating air bubbles (Fig. 10). Take your time. Even a pro needs more than 5min,
5.5. Set the roller arm assembly. The bottom part should be about 5~10mm over the cloth,
5.6. Close the trap valve,
5.7. Switch on the power strip, and switch on the machine and the pump,
5.8. Machine set up → Process type: polishing, Jig: PP6, Arm control: sweeping → EXIT → Process screen → OK →
OK,
5.9. Set the roller arm sweep,
5.10. Stop the operation,
5.11. Put the conditioning ring on the cloth, against the roller arm assembly (Fig. 11),
5.12. Fill half of the chemical tank with pure water,
5.13. Spill a little water on the cloth (20~30 drops),
5.14. Place the tank on the main body (release the screw, put the tank, tighten the screw),
5.15. Set the rotation speed to 20~30rpm, the sweep to 外内 100% and the time to 30min.
5.16. Open the chemical tank valve and adjust the flow to about 2~3 drops/min,
5.17. Wait 30min,
5.18. Stop water flow and stop rotation.

6. Polishing

6.1. Set the rotation speed to 20~30rpm, the sweep to 外内 100% and the time to 3min. This is to condition the
cloth with the slurry,
6.2. Put some slurry on about half the surface of the cloth (Fig. 12)
6.3. Put the conditioning ring on the cloth and start rotation. Continue to dribble the slurry on the cloth (inside
and outside the conditioning ring) at a pace of about 2~3 droplets every 2~3 revolutions (Fig. 11).
6.4. When it stops after 3min, take out the conditioning ring and wipe it with wiper.
6.5. Set the parameters: rotation speed 5rpm, sweep and time: according to your recipe,
6.6. Maintain the PP6 jig's central ring so that the sample's surface doesn't protrude, turn upside down the jig,
put it gently on the cloth against the roller arm, and release the central ring (Fig. 13),
6.7. Start rotation. Increase rotation speed slowly, by about 1rpm every 2~3 revolutions, until you reach your goal
speed,
6.8. Continue supplying slurry. The cloth should not dry.
6.9. When time is over, press the button to stop the alarm.
