cruise control not working

1 comments:
Mr. Anderson
May 9, 2025

Common causes for cruise control not working on a 2017 RAM 1500 include:

1. Unsafe road conditions: Cruise control should not be used on winding, icy, snow-covered, or slippery roads.
2. System limitations: If the system cannot maintain a constant speed, it may disable itself.
3. Vehicle speed: Cruise control may not activate at very low speeds.
4. Malfunctioning components: Issues with the brake pedal switch, throttle control, or related electrical systems can prevent operation.

Always ensure conditions are safe and the system is functioning properly before use.

Interior / Dome lights will not go off

1 comments:
Mr. Anderson
February 24, 2025

The interior/dome lights in a 2017 RAM 1500 may not turn off due to the dimmer control being set to the last detent position, which keeps the interior lighting on. To turn off the lights, rotate the dimmer control left to a lower setting. Additionally, if the vehicle is equipped with a touchscreen, the dimming settings may be programmable through the Uconnect system.
