Chapter 2 gives an overview of the router's hardware and software features, describes its appearance and the package contents. Chapter 3 explains how to install the router DIR-615A and configure a PC in order to access its web-based interface. Chapter 4 describes all pages of the web-based interface in detail.

To restore the factory defaults, push the button (with the device turned on), hold it for 10 seconds, and then release the button.

In the Quick Setup section you can run a needed Wizard. To configure the router to operate in the needed mode and specify all parameters necessary for getting started, use the Initial Configuration Wizard (for the description of the Wizard, see the Initial Configuration Wizard section, page 35).

CONFIGURING WEB-BASED INTERFACE Initial Configuration Wizard To start the Initial Configuration Wizard, on the Quick Setup page, in the Initial Configuration box, click the START button. On the opened page, click the OK button and wait until the factory default settings are restored.

To do this, click the ADVANCED SETTINGS button. On the opened page, change the default settings: specify the administrator password in the Admin password field and the name of the wireless network in the Network name (SSID) field.
