9 Maintenance
The controller was conceived for years of continuous trouble-free
operation. Nevertheless, faults may occur. Maintenance may only
be performed by professional personnel.
In most cases, however, the fault does not lie with the controller,
but rather with the peripheral components. The following
description covers the most common problems encountered with
the controller.

Only send in the controller with a precise fault description if none of
the following faults are present.

Fault causes
WARNING
Risk of death by electrocution!
► Remove the controller from the power supply before opening
the case.
Controller does not appear to function at all
Secondary symptoms
• The controller display is
blank
Short-circuit symbol and warning display appear
Possible cause
Temperature sensor T1 or T2
or its supply cable is short-
circuited
Possible cause / remedy
No power supply is present
Have professional personnel
check the fuse and the
supply cable.
Remedy
Have professional personnel
check the supply cables of
the temperature sensors and
that they are correctly
connected to the controller.
