When turned on, the console will light on all seven-segment LEDs and
all LCD segments. Afterwards, all LEDs and LCD will turn off. When
this occurs, press the GRADE UP and GRADE DOWN keys
simultaneously to enter Calibration Mode. The console displays "CA:"
in the center to indicate it is in Auto-Calibration Mode.
Press the SPEED KEYS to increment/decrement pwm; hold GRADE
keys to change the elevation A/D value. To start auto-calibration,
press the START key; to stop press the STOP key. If in any mode
that isn't running auto-cal, pressing the SELECT key will bypass the
auto-cal screen and transition to viewing/editing the saved values for
elevation and pwm.
The first screen that displays when viewing/editing calibration values
is MINIMUN ELEVATION. The lower left window displays "EEP";
the upper left value is the value stored in NOVRAM for minimum
elevation. The lower right window displays "dn", indicating the
displayed value is for minimum elevation. The upper right window
displays the current elevation A/D value for the potentiometer. Hold
the GRADE KEYS to adjust the A/D value. To save a new value,
press the START key. When saved, the value in the upper left
window will match the value in the upper right window, provided the
value is within the set limits. To advance to the next variable, press
the SELECT key. If the SELECT key is pressed prior to pressing the
START key, the edited value will not be saved in NOVRAM.
The next Variable displayed is MAXIMUM ELEVATION. The
display setup and keyboard functions are similar, except the lower
right window displays "UP" instead.
The next variable displayed is MINIMUM PWM. The lower left
window displays "EEP". The upper window displays "Lo",
indicating the variable is min pwm. The lower right window displays
the speed in which the pwm was calibrated, in this case 0.5mph. The
upper right window initially displays the pwm value saved in
NOVRAM. THE BELT WILL MOVE WITH RESPECT TO
THIS VALUE. Use the SPEED KEYS to adjust the pwm value. To
save a new value, press the START key. To advance to the next
