Screen a call
If you hear a caller leaving an answering machine
message, you can discreetly hear the caller through the
handset instead of through the base speakerphone.
To screen during an answering machine message

When you see DTAM in use on the screen, lift

Call Screening appears on the screen.
The answering machine continues recording, and the
caller does not hear you listening.
Intercept a call during an incoming message
If you hear a caller leaving an answering machine
message, and you want to speak to the caller, you can
intercept and speak to the caller.
To intercept during an incoming message
1.
Lift

2.
Press
beneath Talk on the screen.
The answering machine stops recording.
