RUNNING IN, STARTING/STOPPING THE ENGINE (1/3)

Petrol version
For the first (600 miles) 1,000 km,
do not exceed (80 mph) 130 km/h in
top gear (or 3,000 to 3,500 rpm), and
change gears without over-revving the
engine. Also avoid rapid acceleration
from stationary and harsh braking, as
far as possible.
You may only expect top performance
from your vehicle after approximately
(1,800 miles) 3,000 km.
Service intervals: refer to the
Maintenance Document for the vehicle
Diesel version
For the first (1000 miles) 1,600 km, do
not exceed (80 mph) 130 km/h in the
highest gear or 2,500 rpm. After com-
pleting this mileage you may drive
faster, although you may only expect
top performance after approximately
(3,600 miles) 6,000 km.
During the running in period, do not ac-
celerate hard while the engine is still
cold and do not let the engine over-rev.
Service intervals: refer to the
Maintenance Document for the vehi-
cle.

RENAULT Remote control card

When you get into the vehicle, insert
the RENAULT card integrated key ,
pointing towards you,fully into the card
reader 1.
To start, press button 2. If a gear is en-
gaged, press the clutch pedal to start
the vehicle.

Hands -free RENAULT card
The RENAULT card must be inserted
in card reader 1 or in detection zone 3.
To start, press the brake or clutch pedal
and press 2. If a gear is engaged, vehi-
cle can be started only by pressing the
clutch pedal.
Starting with tail gate open
in hands-free mode.
In this case, RENAULT card must not
be located in the luggage compartment.
