RENAULT CARD:GENERAL INFORMATION (2/2)

The integrated key is used to lock/
unlock the front left door if the RENAULT
card doesnot work:
- when the RENAULT card battery is
drained,flat battery etc;
- use of devices using the same fre-
quency as the card;
- vehicle located in a high electromag-
netic radiation zone.
Access to key 4
Press button 6 and pull on key 4, then
release the button.

Using the key

Please refer to the information
on,"Locking and unlocking the opening
elements".

Once you have accessed the vehicle
using the integrated key,replace it
in its housing in the RENAULT card,
then insert the RENAULT card into
the card reader to start the vehicle.
Advice
Avoid leaving the card into hot, cold or
humid areas.
Do not keep the card in a place where it
could be bent or damaged accidentally,
such as in a back pocket of a garment.
Replacement:need for an
additional RENAULT card
If you lose your RENAULT card or re-
quire another you can obtain one from
an authorised dealer.
If a RENAULT card is repalced, it will
be necessary to take the vehicle and all
of its RENAULT cards to an approved
dealer to initialise the system.
You may use upto four RENAULT cards
per vehicle.
This RENAULT card is used to start the
engine by
- inserting the card into the card
reader/placing the card in the passeng-
er compartment (depending on vehicle).
- Press Start/Stop switch.
NOTE
- It is not possible to start the engine,if
the clutch pedal is not fully pressed
in geared condition (or) brake/clutch is
not fully pressed in neutral position,
as the vehicle is equiped with
a protection for starting mechanism.
- This protection will automatically de-
activate the starting mechanism, if the
engine fails to start after a pre-deter-
mined period,even when "start" switch
is pressed. In such cases, wait for 10
seconds before next attempt.
- After three continuous attempts, if the
engine does not start, it is advisable
not to crank the engine again as it may
damage the starter motor.Please con-
tact nearby authorised dealer.
