    CLS400/CLS500 20V Cordless Nail Gun Batteries and Battery Charging NOTE: Batteries for this tool are supplied in a low-charge condition for shipping reasons. • A battery that is new or has not been used for a long period does not charge to full capacity until after approximately 5 charge/discharge cycles.

    CLS400/CLS500 20V Cordless Nail Gun Before Use - Check the Contact Safety Pin and Trigger Mechanism Before using the tool, perform the following procedure to ensure that the contact firing safety mechanism is operating correctly. If it is not, do NOT use the tool – have it inspected and repaired by an authorized service center or technician.

    CLS400/CLS500 20V Cordless Nail Gun Loading Fasteners Do not load fasteners of different lengths. • Do not load both staples and nails together. NOTE: When the number of fasteners in the magazine is less than 10, the low fastener indicator on the magazine starts becoming visible. When no fasteners are in the magazine the low fastener indicator is fully visible and the LED is green.

    CLS400/CLS500 20V Cordless Nail Gun Nailing and Stapling Do not keep the trigger pulled when the machine is not in use or modify the trigger to remain pulled after you release it. NOTE: Check that the fasteners are loaded correctly into the magazine. • Make sure the battery is fully charged.

    CLS400/CLS500 20V Cordless Nail Gun Contact Firing Mode Place the mode switch in the Contact Firing position. Pull the trigger and keep it pulled (the tool will not fire at this stage). Press the safety contact pin against the work piece so the safety contact pin is pushed in. The tool will fire.
