    Introduction Thank you for choosing OHAUS product. Please read the manual completely before using the STARTER 2100 bench pH meter to avoid incorrect operation. STARTER 2100 has an excellent performance/price ratio and is designed for customers who want a simple and easy-to-use bench pH meter with 0.01pH accuracy. Many accessories and optional such as different electrodes for different applications, bottle buffer solutions are also available from OHAUS.

    In addition to ST2100-E content, the model ST2100-F package also includes the following: STTEMP30 temperature electrode You also could order other Ohaus pH electrodes for different applications. Each pH buffer powder should be dissolved in 250ml pure water or deionized water in volumetric flask.

    30058733 Installing the built-in electrode arm Install the built-in electrode arm on the left or right sight of the STARTER 2100 meter.  Remove the arm hole rubber cover from the meter, Insert the metal stick into the hole and screw to fasten it.

    Installing the electrodes Connect the pH electrode with the meter. There are 3 Socket for pH electrode. The BNC (pH), Cinch (Temp.) and banana (REF) socket. For ST210, we only need to connect the pH electrode with the pH socket (BNC); For STTEMP30, connect with Temp.

    If the meter does not detect a temperature electrode, it automatically switches to the Manual Temperature Compensation mode and MTC appears. MTC temperature should be set (4.1). Note: STARTER 2100 accepts NTC 30 kΩ temperature sensor. Setup Set MTC temperature Press button-Temp the MTC temperature value appears on the display.

    Meter maintenance Never unscrew the two halves of the housing! The STARTER 2100 series instruments do not require any maintenance other than occasional wipe with a damp cloth and the replacement of depleted batteries. The housing is made of acrylonitrile butadiene styrene (ABS). This material is attacked by some organic solvents, such as toluene, xylene and methyl ethyl ketone (MEK).
