Generic term for the second generation of cellular
networks, when digital technology was used. GSM is a
2G network.
Generic term for the third generation of cellular
networks such as UMTS.
Application Programming Interface.
Access Point Name. Used in GPRS to define services to
which the terminal can connect, for example, Internet,
MyCompany.
Bits per second – rate of data flow.

High Speed Uplink Packet Access.
