NOTES ON pERfORMANCE

During intercom communication, one of the two INTERPHO-
NE units draws more from its battery. This is due to the wi-
reless search procedure that the module in question carries
out in order to stay connected to the other module, which
may lead to a difference in autonomy of 60-90 minutes.

1 fIRST USE
1.1 Charging
The INTERpHONE CAR KIT must be charged before use.
Connect the battery charger to a 110-220V socket and insert the
charge plug into the INTERpHONE CAR KIT charging socket.
The LED indicator light turns red during charging .
When the unit is fully charged, the LED will turn green.
1.2 Installation

MOUNTING THE MODULE

After installing the bracket on the Bluetooth® module (with
the side containing the magnets facing outwards), grasp the
module and insert it downwards into the guide.
Check that the Bluetooth® module is correctly locked into
position by trying to pull it upwards and out.
Place the metal clip on the sun visor and mount the module
using the magnets on the bracket.

CONNECTING THE MODULE TO THE SPEAKER

After mounting the module on the sun visor, place the spea-
ker in the desired position inside the car. Use the Velcro with
bi-adhesive strip, or use the mounting bracket.
After the speaker has been positioned, insert the jack plug
into the jack at the bottom of the module.
NOTE: For best conversation quality, it's a good idea to
mount the speaker inside the car at a minimum distance of
60 cm from the module.

USING THE CABLE WITH 3 .5 MM JACK PLUG

If the stereo system in your car has a 3.5 mm AUX jack, the
system can be used to listen to intercom conversations.
Insert the 3.5 mm jack plug on the cable provided with the
unit into the AUX input jack in the car, plug the connector
into the speaker/microphone socket and, if necessary, set
the stereo system to play from the AUX input.

1.3 Turning the unit ON/Off

TO TURN ON:
Hold down the MFB button for approx. 3 seconds. The spe-
aker will emit a tone and the LED will begin to flash quickly
for approx. 3 seconds.
Afterwards, the unit will be in the stand-by mode and the
LED will flash approx. every 5 seconds.
TO TURN OFF:
Hold down the MFB button. The speaker will emit a long
tone and the LED will flash red before turning off.

If you have an INTERPHONE CAR KIT and an INTERPHONE F4
module, you can connect the two together in the Intercom
mode .
After turning the two devices off, hold down the MFB button
(for approx. 8 seconds) until the LED flashes blue and red in
alternating fashion.
When both LEDs flash blue and red in alternating fashion,
briefly press the MFB button on the INTERPHONE CAR KIT.
After about 15 seconds, the LEDs on both modules will turn
on with a steady blue light, which shows that the connection
has been established and that Intercom communication has
been activated automatically.

2.1 Using the Intercom

To activate the Intercom function: To activate Intercom
conversation, press the MFB button on either of the two IN-
TERpHONE CAR KIT modules for around 3 seconds. A tone
will be emitted when the connection is established.
Conversation in the Intercom mode is full duplex.
To deactivate the Intercom function: To deactivate the In-
tercom function, briefly press the MFB button.
To adjust the volume: To adjust the volume, press the Vo-
lume + or Volume - buttons until the desired volume level
is reached .
To activate the Mute mode: You can disable the micro-
phone (MUTE mode) by pressing the Volume – button for
around 3 seconds (a tone will sound when the microphone is
deactivated). When the system is in the MUTE mode, the LED
will flash intermittently and a tone will be emitted every 8
seconds to remind you that the device is in the MUTE mode.
To deactivate the Mute mode: To deactivate the MUTE
mode, press the Volume + button for around 3 seconds (a
tone will be emitted when the microphone is deactivated).
The INTERpHONE CAR KIT features handset/hands-free
profiles for connecting to a mobile phone through a
bluetooth connection.

After turning off the INTERpHONE CAR KIT, hold the MFB
button down (for approx. 8 seconds) until the LED flashes
blue and red in alternating fashion.
When the LED flashes blue and red in alternating fashion,
search for devices from the phone (see the mobile phone
manual for instructions).
When the phone detects the INTERpHONE CAR KIT, select it
and enter number code 0000 .
3.1 Operation
Answering a call: The speaker will emit a warning tone or
ring tone to signal an incoming call. To answer the call, brie-
fly press the MFB button.
Ending a call: To end a call, briefly press the MFB button.
Voice-activated dialling: On some mobile phones, you can
place a voice-activated call by pressing the MFB button briefly.
Refusing a call: To refuse an incoming call, hold down the
MFB button for around 4 seconds.
Adjusting the volume: To adjust the volume, press the Vo-
lume + or Volume - buttons until the desired volume level
is reached .
