text file.
AODV Tab
The AODV Tab provides statistical information regarding the link quality between all NovaRoams within
wireless communication range of the local NovaRoam. The AODV statistics tab is only active when the
AODV ad-hoc routing protocol has been enabled on the Ad Hoc Routing tab of the IP Routing
configuration page.
The Neighbor List provides a list of NovaRoams that are communicating wirelessly with the local
NovaRoam. The Neighbor list is updated each time a "Hello" message is received from another
NovaRoam.
IP Address. The IP Address field provides the IP Address of the wireless interface of a
NovaRoams whose "Hello" message has been received by the local NovaRoam.
Link. Provides a measurement of the local NovaRoam's signal quality as measured by the
NovaRoam that sent the "Hello" message. This is used to ensure that only bidirectional links are
used for routing wireless data packets.
Reverse Link. Provides a measurement of the signal quality of the last "Hello" message that was
received from the NovaRoam. The Link measurement is provided in dBm.
RSSI Tab
The RSSI Tab provides statistical information regarding the link quality between all NovaRoams within
wireless communication range of the local NovaRoam. The RSSI tab lists NovaRoams based on their
unique MAC Address.
MAC Address. Displays the MAC Address of the NovaRoam whose signal RSSI value is
displayed.
RSSI. The RSSI field, which stands for Received Signal Strength Indicator, provides a
measurement of the current RSSI based on the last packet that was received from the destination
radio. RSSI values have a range of 0-255, with larger values equating to better signal quality.
