Setting Up the Unit

Select a Place for the Unit

For indoor use only
Place on a flat, stable surface
Clearances required :
Close to the host PC
Close to a power outlet
Allow for adequate ventilation
Away from water/moisture/high humidity, heat/direct sunlight, and dust
Notes:
The unit draws 40 watts (maximum) from a 100 to 240 VAC, 50/60 Hz outlet. The unit
draws 1.5 amps (maximum) from the included 24 VDC power supply.
Each unit must be operated with Burroughs power adaptor 75-0860-917 and no other.
The SmartSource Edge may be susceptible to "burst" or "electrical fast transient" (EFT)
noise entering the unit through the power cord. These types of noise signals are caused
by large electrical equipment (such as heating and cooling units) connected to nearby
electrical outlets.
