1 About RM500SL

Section overview

This section provides a listing of features new in this software release, instructions for
accessing the electronic User's Guide, contact, warranty and trademark information and
notices for the European Community.
Help is available on the following topics by pressing <Help> (For long Help pages, use
<Left/Right> (or mouse) to switch between the Help index and the Help page and
arrows (or mouse) to scroll through the page.)
In addition you will find a glossary, references and more information in the electronic
user's guide on the Audioscan software CD.

New in this software release

Software 3.4 introduces the following significant additions and changes:
1. Frequency lowering HI fitting – determine the amount of frequency shift provided by
frequency-lowering hearing instruments and the sensation level of the lowered
components of the speech signal..
2. ISTS – the International Speech Test Signal has been added in Speechmap.
3. German language screen text and setup selection.
4. Reset test setup when erasing session data.
5. Setup menu is arranged in alphabetical order.
6. Full size Graph only and ANSI printouts when not using the graph+table option.
7. Unit serial number printed next to software version.
8. HP printer driver updated.
9. MPO test signal modified to make the results more directly comparable to UCL
measurements or estimates, independent of the hearing aid characteristics.
10. RM500SL software can be updated from website without the use of a CD.

Electronic user's guide

A printable user's guide is on the Audioscan CD-ROM supplied with a new instrument.
A .pdf file viewer, such as Acrobat Reader (5.0 or higher) or Foxit Reader is required to
view the User's Guide. Foxit Reader is supplied on the CD-ROM.
