Stages of Service Life

7.1

Transport and Storage

If the smartPRINTER is not commissioned after it is received and visually inspected, repackage it in
the original packaging.
Protect the printer against impacts, contamination and moisture during storage.
Before commissioning, give the device time to adapt to the temperature and humidity conditions.
Operating temperature range: −5 °C... +40 °C
Humidity range during operation: 10 % ... 90 %, non-condensing.
7.2

Mounting

Warning against dangerous electrical voltage:
Disconnect the printer from the power supply before starting any installation work!
Set the printer up near an outlet so the plug can be pulled out easily at any time.
The printer is supported by four rubber feet. When setting it up, ensure that the device does not
wobble. Check whether all four rubber feet are inserted into the housing.
Installation holes on the bottom of the printer make it possible to secure the setup position.
Place the printer on a flat and stable surface that protrudes out past its base on all sides.
The printer will not function smoothly if is tilted or on an angle.
Make it possible to work safely with the device.
Set the printer up in a freely accessible location.
If you set the printer up against a wall, leave clearance of at least 10 cm between the back of the
printer and the wall.
Keep the printer away from direct sunlight, exposure to bright light and sources of heat.
Avoid locations where the printer is exposed to significant temperature and humidity fluctuations.
