TPA-MHL2-8R – Quick Start Guide
Use the procedure below to make the connections the TPA-MHL-8R for running source compliance tests on an MHL
source device. The first diagram shows a depiction of the test setup with the Rev. C 980 Protocol Analyzer module.
The second diagram shows a depiction of the test setup with the Rev. D 980 Protocol Analyzer module.
Apply power to the TPA-MHL2-8R using the power adapter provided.

Make the connections as shown in the diagram below. For this application you will be using the section on the
TPA-MHL2-8R labeled VIDEO ANALYSIS – MHL SOURCE DUT.

Connect an MHL cable from the MHL source device under test to the MHL IN FROM DUT connector on the
TPA-MHL2-8R.
