Adjustments

Rear Brake

The transmission brake is a hydraulic
disc brake and is activated by the same
lever that activates the front brake
system. The transmission brake system
is self-adjusting and requires no
maintenance other than periodic checks
of the pads for wear.
Change the brake pads when they're
worn to 3/64" (.1 cm).
Inspect the brake disc spline and pad
wear surface for excessive wear.
Throttle Cable Free Play Adjustment
Throttle cable free play is adjusted at the handlebar.
1. Slide the boots (1) off the inline cable adjuster sleeve (2). Loosen
the adjuster locknut (3).
2. Turn the adjuster until 1/16" to 1/8" freeplay is achieved at the
thumb lever. Flip the throttle lever several times to confirm
adjustment.
3. Tighten the locknut and slide the boots over the cable adjuster until
they touch at the middle point of the adjuster.
