Switch with optional IP routing.
The MACH 3001 chassis includes:
– one power supply unit (230/120VAC)
– four fans
– one basic board with four media sockets
for connecting media modules or the
router module
– two connectors for redundant 24VDC
operating voltage, 10 A maximum
The MACH 3001 switches support ETHERNET
10 MBit/s, Fast ETHERNET 100 MBit/s and
Gigabit ETHERNET 1000 MBit/s. They support
switchted ETHERNET networks, and backbo-
nes in accordance with IEEE standard 802.3
using copper technology or fiber optic (F/O).
Functions:
– Spanning tree algorithm
– Frame switching
– IP routing (optional)
– Displays
– Redundancy
– SNMP and web management
– Security
Displays for:
– Integrated Power supply unit (PSU1)
– 24VDC connectors (PSU2, PSU3)
– Integrated fans (FAN1 to FAN4)
– Integrated basic board (BOOT/RUN,
MASTER/SLAVE, ERROR)
– Media modules (Link status/Data, Syn-
chronous, Link status, Data out, Data In)
– Router module: Activity, Transmit
The integrated basic board has 4 sockets for
connecting the router module and media
modules. The MACH 3001 enables configu-
rations with up to 32 ports, depending on
the choice of media modules.
Media modules:
– 4 port ETHERNET multimode
2 port Fast ETHERNET singlemode
2 port Fast ETHERNET multimode
8 port Fast ETHERNET twisted pair
– 8 port Fast ETHERNET multimode
1 port Gigabit ETHERNET singlemode
– 2 port Gigabit ETHERNET singlemode
2 port Gigabit ETHERNET multimode
– 2 port Gigabit ETHERNET twisted pair
– Router module
The MACH 3001 has one V.24 interface for
external management.
You will find detailled description of the
Gigabit LAN Switch MACH 3000 in the
„MACH 3000 Manual – J Gigabit LAN
Switch" on the CD-ROM enclosed with the
