Environment Setup

Optimal placement of your microphone and speakers
is important to provide the best audio experience possible.
Please refer to the following guidelines when setting up
your microphone and speakers on your desktop:
1. Point the microphone towards your face.
The microphone should be placed within 3 feet
of your mouth.
2. During software installation, the Audio Tuning Wizard
asks you to specify whether you will be using speakers or
a headset. Make sure to indicate your choice on-screen.
3. If you are using speakers, position them away from
the microphone to reduce feedback. For best results,
a minimum distance of 12 inches (305mm) between
the microphone and speakers is recommended.
4. Angle the speakers away from the microphone.
5. Be sure that no objects are placed directly between you
and the microphone.
