Cleaning

The Pawkit water activity measurement system is
designed to be an easy-to-use, portable, low main-
tenance instrument. However, it is still important to
keep it clean to ensure its proper working and func-
tion. Here are some tips for keeping your Pawkit
clean:
• Use only a soft cotton cloth to clean the LCD.
Tissues can scratch the plastic, causing damage.
• Use a moist cotton cloth to clean the rest of the
outer case.
• For cleaning inside the case and sample cham-
ber, use a cotton swab moistened with water to
clean sample residue. If you have spilled sample
material on the sensor screen and it doesn't
come off, clean or replace the screen as
explained in the next section. It is important that
contamination to this screen is minimized, as the
relative humidity of the sample is measured via
the screen.
