If you don't turn the multi room function off you won't be able to turn the entire main room system off.

Press the MULTI ROOM & SOURCE button.
The display shown below will illuminate when the receiver is in
STANDBY mode.
Also, the MR&S button will light.

Press the CONTROL button.
The light will start to blink.

Within ten seconds of step 2, select the FUNCTION
with the INPUT SELECTOR.
For this example we'll use the TUNER function. The display
shown below will illuminate.
The INPUT SELECTOR steps through the functions in the
following order:

Press the CONTROL button again and use the
INPUT SELECTOR to adjust the VOLUME. The
volume can be adjusted in a range of -82dB to 0dB.
The display will appear as shown below.

When in TUNER function, press the CONTROL
button and use the INPUT SELECTOR to tune in the
station.
The display will appear as shown below.
