Service doors

Description
Main service door (included in Plastics Kit)
Drive service door (included in Hard Drive Hardware Kit)
The bottom of the computer has two service doors. The drive service door provides access to the hard drive
and M.2 solid-state drive. The main service door provides access to the memory modules, wireless modules,
and keyboard screws.
Before removing the service doors, follow these steps:
1.
Shut down the computer. If you are unsure whether the computer is off or in Hibernation, turn the
computer on, and then shut it down through the operating system.
2.
Place the computer in "Battery Safe mode"
3.
Disconnect all external devices connected to the computer.
4.
Disconnect the power from the computer by first unplugging the power cord from the AC outlet, and
then unplugging the AC adapter from the computer.
Remove the service doors:
Main service door
1.
Loosen the captive Phillips screw (1).
2.
Lift the bottom of the door upward (2), and then remove the door from the computer (3).
Drive service door
3.
Loosen the captive Phillips screw (1).
