2 Unpacking and Setting Up Your
Equipment

Before you
try
to connect or turn on any of the
equipment in your Commodore PC system, be
sure to read ALL the unpacking and setup
instructions in this chapter.
Checking What You Received
MAKE SURE that you received at least the following items:
• The SYSTEM UNIT with power cable
• The detachable KEYBOARD with connecting cable
• Operations Guide

Reference - This is the book you are now reading.

The items packed with the computer may vary, depending on what
Commodore PC model you have purchased. Check the computer
box for a list of the items that should be supplied with your
computer.

Picking A Spot For Your Computer
When you set up your computer equipment, pick a spot away from
heat, dust, smoke or electrical interference. Plug your Commodore
PC equipment into a properly grounded electrical circuit that is not
used for large appliances or power tools.
