Install AC Power Supplies

Place the chassis grounding lug and cable over the PEM nuts with the cable connection

Place the two screws over the grounding lug and grounding cable.

Tighten the two screws using a Phillips screwdriver.

Dress the grounding cable and ensure that it does not touch or block access to other

device components and that it does not drape where people can trip over it.
PTX10008 power supplies are hot-insertable and are field-replaceable units (FRUs).
You can install up to six power supplies in a PTX10008. The power supplies install in the
rear of the chassis in the slots provided along the left side.
CAUTION:
Do not mix AC and DC power supplies in the same chassis.
Before you install an AC power supply in the router, ensure that you have the following
parts and tools available to install an AC power supply in a PTX10008:
Electrostatic discharge (ESD) grounding strap
Phillips (+) screwdriver, number 1
Power cords appropriate for your geographical location.
Power cord retainer clips
