Front Seat Removal/lnstallation (cont'dl
Lift up the front seat, then detach the harness clip
(A). and disconnect the seat belt switch connector
( B ) a n d s e a t b e l t b u c k l e t e n s i o n e r c o n n e c t o r ( C ) . l f
e q u i p p e d w i t h a s i d e a i r b a g , d i s c o n n e c t t h e s i d e
a i r b a g c o n n e c t o r ( D ) , a n d o n t h e p a s s e n g e r ' s s e a t ,
d i s c o n n e c t t h e O P D S u n i t c o n n e c t o r ( E ) . T h e
p a s s e n g e r ' s s e a t i s s h o w n , t h e d r i v e r ' s s e a t i s
s i m i l a r e x c e p t i t h a s n o O P D S u n i t c o n n e c t o r .
With the help of an assistant, carefully remove the
front seat th rough the front door opening.
I n s t a l l t h e s e a t i n t h e r e v e r s e o r d e r o f r e m o v a l , a n d
note these rtems:
. l\4ake sure each connector is plugged in properly.
. A p p l y l i q u i d t h r e a d l o c k t o t h e s e a t m o u n t i n g
bolts before reinstallatlon.
. Reconnect the negative cable to the battery.
. Enter the anti-theft code for the radio, then enter
the customer's radio station presets.
. Reset the clock.
. Do the ECM/PCM idle learn procedure (see page
1 1 - 1 3 9 ) .
