Set the windshield in the opening, and center it.
Make alignment marks (A) across the windshield
and body with a grease pencil at the four points
shown. Be careful not to touch the windshield
w h e r e a d h e s i v e w i l l b e a p p l i e d .
1 7 . R e m o v e t h e w i n d s h i e l d .

18. With a sponge, apply a light coat of glass primer
around the edge of the windshield (A) between the
d a m s ( B ) a n d m o l d i n g { C ) a s s h o w n , t h e n l i g h t l y
wipe it off with gauze or cheesecloth:
. A p p l y g l a s s p r i m e r t o t h e m o l d i n g .
. Do not apply body primer to the windshield, and
do not get body and glass primer sponges mixed
up.
. Never touch the primed surfaces with your hands.
lf you do, the adhesive may not bond to the
w i n d s h i e l d p r o p e r l y . c a u s i n g a l e a k a f t e r t h e
w i n d s h i e l d i s i n s t a l l e d .
. Keep water. dust, and abrasive materials away
from the primed surface.
