In case of stubborn dirt:

Wash the filter parts in STIHL
universal cleaner or in a fresh, non-
flammable cleaning solution
(e.g.warm soapy water). Dry all
parts.

handle 90° counterclockwise.

Lift off the carburetor box cover
vertically.

Take the shutter out of the
carburetor box cover and slide it
into the slot at the bottom end
of the carburetor box cover.

Refit the filter and carburetor box cover
and secure it with the twist lock:
Heated air is now drawn in from around
the cylinder and mixed with cold air to
help prevent carburetor icing.
