WARNING
Electrical Shock Hazard
Disconnect power before servicing.
Replace all parts and panels before operating.
Failure to do so can result in death or
electrical shock.

TEST #3: Pressure Sensor

This test checks the water level sensing components.
NOTE: Usually, if the pressure sensor malfunctions, the washer
may generate an "EA" - Water Level Sensor error, "E1" - Low/
No Water Fill error, or "E2" - Abnormal Drain error.
NOTE: The top of the standpipe must be at least 39" (991 mm)
high and no higher than 72" (1.8 m) from the bottom of the
washer. Make sure that drain hose is not sealed into drain, and
that there is an air gap for ventilation.
1. Check the functionality of the pressure sensor by running
a small load cycle. The valves should turn off automatically
after sensing the correct water level in the tub. The following
steps assume that this step was unsuccessful.
2. Drain the tub until all water has been removed.
3. Unplug washer or disconnect power.
4. Remove the rear panel and the water valve access panel
(located behind the lid).
5. Check hose connections between the pressure sensor and
the pressure dome on the tub (see Figures 1 & 2).
6. Check to ensure hose is routed correctly in the lower
cabinet and not pinched or crimped inside the console or
by the back panel.

7. Verify there is no water, suds, or debris in the hose or
dome. Disconnect hose from pressure sensor and blow
into hose to clear water, suds, or debris.
8. Check hose for leaks. Replace if needed.
9. If the preceding steps did not correct the problem, replace
the Pressure Sensor and perform step-1 to retest.
¾ If the Pressure Sensor still fails to operate, go to step 10.
10. Access the UI/Control Board.
11. Check continuity of the harness between the control
(CN6) and Pressure Sensor. See Figure 3 below.
¾ If there is continuity, go to step 12.
¾ If there is no continuity, repair or replace the pressure
sensor harness and perform step-1 to retest.
12. Replace the UI/Control Board and perform the Manual
Load Test on page 2-4 to verify repair.
