Push MULTI-CONTROL left or right to
select the equalizer band to adjust.
Each time MULTI-CONTROL is pushed left or
right, equalizer bands are selected in the fol-
lowing order:
20—31.5—50—80—125—200—315—500—
800—1.25k—2k—3.15k—5k—8k—12.5k—
20k (Hz)

Push MULTI-CONTROL up or down to
adjust the level of the equalizer band.
Each time MULTI-CONTROL is pushed up or
down, the level of the equalization band in-
creases or decreases.
+6 to –6 is displayed as the level is increased
or decreased.
# You can then select another band and adjust
the level.

Press BAND to cancel the 16-band gra-
phic equalizer adjustment.

Adjusting loudness

Loudness compensates for deficiencies in the
low- and high-sound ranges at low volume.

Use MULTI-CONTROL to select LOUD.
LOUD appears in the display.

Press MULTI-CONTROL to turn loudness
on.
# To turn loudness off, press MULTI-CONTROL
again.
Using automatic sound
levelizer
During driving, noise in the car changes ac-
cording to the driving speed and road condi-
tions. The automatic sound levelizer (ASL)

monitors such varying noise and automati-
cally increases the volume level, if this noise
becomes greater. The sensitivity (variation of
volume level to noise level) of ASL can be set
to one of five levels.

Use MULTI-CONTROL to select ASL.
ASL appears in the display.

Press MULTI-CONTROL to turn ASL on.
ASL level (e.g., Mid-L) appears in the display.
# To turn ASL off, press MULTI-CONTROL
again.

Push MULTI-CONTROL left or right to
select the desired ASL level.
Each time MULTI-CONTROL is pushed left or
right, ASL level is selected in the following
order:
Low (low)—Mid-L (mid-low)—Mid (mid)—
Mid-H (mid-high)—High (high)
Note
When the ASL mode is turned on and exited, ASL
appears on the display of each source.

Adjusting source levels

SLA (source level adjustment) lets you adjust
the volume level of each source to prevent ra-
dical changes in volume when switching be-
tween sources.
! Settings are based on the FM tuner volume
level, which remains unchanged.

Compare the FM tuner volume level
with the level of the source you wish to ad-
just.

Use MULTI-CONTROL to select SLA.
SLA appears in the display.
