Definition
Real-Time Transmission is transmission in which there is no
perceived delay in the transmission of a voice message or
the response to it. This is a requirement for voice traffic.
A number used to identify a subnetwork so that an IP
address can be shared on a LAN. A range of logical
addresses within the address space that is assigned to an
organization.
Transmission Control Protocol/Internet Protocol (TCP/IP) is a
networking protocol that provides communication across
interconnected networks, between computers with diverse
hardware architectures and various operating systems.
Virtual Local Area Network is a group of hosts with a
common set of requirements that communicate as if they
were attached to the same wire, regardless of their physical
location. A VLAN has the same attributes as a physical LAN,
but it allows for end stations to be grouped together even if
they are not located on the same LAN segment.
The identification of the VLAN, which is basically used by the
standard 802.1Q.
Voice over Internet Protocol is a protocol optimized for the
transmission of voice through the Internet or other
packet-switched networks.
